When do erin and gabe break up

Granted, things got complicated when they chose to move to Scranton, but they still tried to make their relationship work. However, the presence of a newly single Pam began to affect Karen negatively. Jim realized his feelings for Pam were too strong and eventually broke up with Karen.

Their relationship just served to drive Pam into an angry frenzy just for the sake of comedy. In fact, upon discovering her real age, Michael immediately began to lose interest in her. Well, unless you count Helene being dumped by Michael on her birthday as eventful. Although the interest between the two began while she was dating Andy, she soon discovered that her feelings for Pete were too strong to resist. When Andy selfishly left to go on a very long boat trip with his brother Walter, Erin recognized how caring an attentive Pete has been to her.

We are still trying to comprehend why this matchup ever happened. Two of the oddest characters on the show being brought together on a, what, a whim? Honestly, it was just uncomfortable and pretty darn gross. Thank goodness! How could you not love the train wreck that was Kelly and Ryan? Granted, these were two of the most selfish characters on the show individually, but together they became a force to be reckoned with. These two lovebirds continued their on-again, off-again relationship through the entire show.

Between the constant breakups, attempts at making the other jealous, and even a quickie marriage, Kelly and Ryan continued to come back to each other.

Even after the two seemed to finally end things Kelly moved on to Ravi and got engaged , they still managed to drift to one another once again.

Though her relationship with Jim served as the endgame for the series, we were introduced to Pam through her time with Roy. Roy was insensitive and often neglectful, but this pairing did help Pam see how much better her life would be with Jim. Given that their breakup was a necessity, their spiraling relationship together eventually took a turn for the worse. This pairing hit a new low after their breakup when Roy lost his temper in a bar.

His anger continued into the office when he attempted to attack Jim. This act seemed a bit excessive, turning fans against Roy for good.

Honestly, we were rooting for this couple to make it. They shared the same silly energy and instantly clicked when they were together. After initially ending things, they both tried to move on with other people. However, in an attempt to rekindle their relationship, Andy drove down to Tallahassee, Florida to confess his love for her.

Unfortunately, is decision to take a three-week cruise with his brother, leaving Eric behind, seemed to be the last straw. She eventually broke up with him after he returned and moved on to Pete. For the first three seasons of The Office , Oscar appeared to be in a relatively healthy relationship with his boyfriend, Gil. This relationship was messy from the start, with Oscar knowingly participating in Robert's infidelity. Despite his past issues with Angela, this type of betrayal should have never happened between these friends.

In the end, the Senator not only cheated on Angela but Oscar as well. Among the many failed relationships and awful hookups, Phyllis and Bob maintained one of the healthiest relationships on the show. Shown to be dating as early as season 2, the two eventually settle down and get married, serving as an excellent antidote for the typical Michael Scott antics. Their marriage continued to be quite healthy, despite some concerns Phyllis had of Bob cheating on her with his secretary.

While in " Sex Ed " it was revealed they were having sex, Erin would later say sex with him was bad because of how bony he is. Andy shows jealousy toward Gabe because he "stole" Erin " Nepotism " , commenting on how he fantasizes about Gabe being eaten by a humpback whale.

Pam learns that Erin is not attracted to Gabe at all, and is in fact completely repulsed by him, but is too shy to break it off. After receiving the "Cutest Redhead" award from Michael as part of his last Dundies performance, Erin is inspired by advice given to her by Pam and a confidence boost from the award, to finally break up with him, much to Gabe's dismay as he is attached to her and embarrassed as well as baffled by Erin's poor timing, as she decided to say this in front of the entire office " Michael Last Dundies ".

For the rest of the season, Gabe desperately tries to win her back, cornering both Andy and Erin in the restrooms on separate occasions, both of which only serve to make him more disliked by them and his other co-workers; he pleads again with Andy to stay away from Erin, before breaking down crying -- something Andy brings up in front of Erin to embarrass him when Gabe tries to dash any chances of the two of them getting back to together.

In " Search Committee ," Gabe goes so far as to try and tank Andy's job interview for manager by asking him ridiculous and off-topic questions, much to the confusion of Andy and the other two interviewees Jim and Toby ; this gets Gabe thrown off the Search Committee by Kelly, who informs CEO Jo Bennett about his unprofessional behavior. He makes an appearance in Season 9 because he was rehired by Andy to make Erin and Pete feel uncomfortable, when he claimied that he got a tattoo for Erin, which was a Nike swoosh, explaining to her, "Just do it.

You were the it that I was just doing. Case in point: Pam managed to convince him that she had some phony designation in order to get a raise.

The fact that Gabe wouldn't even bother to double-check this information is telling of just how incompetent he really is, regardless of how he may try to portray himself.

That being said, one has to admit that the Scranton branch does go out of its way to make Gabe feel out of place and like a villain of sorts. From making fun of him through elaborate sketch competitions to straight-up making disparaging remarks to his face without even batting an eye — Dunder Mifflin Scranton wasn't exactly the most friendly place Gabe could've worked at.

The lack of respect that Gabe got can be perfectly exemplified in a scene where Gabe is instructed by Robert California to reject Dwight's pitch for a managerial position. After Dwight sees through this scheme, he holds Gabe in a hammerlock and doesn't stop hurting him until he reveals where Robert lives.

There was no reason why Gabe shouldn't have taken this assault seriously and sued Dwight, but instead, this assault is just played off for laughs, which is quite saddening from Gabe's perspective. The title "Supervising Manager" is used a lot when referring to Gabe, and he's had several titles over the course of the series, but one must ask what he actually did in the Scranton branch that made any impact.

The answer to this is - not a lot. While Gabe could've been useful initially, when the Scranton branch was transitioning from Dunder Mifflin to Sabre, his importance became significantly muted over time. It's almost like Jo kept him in Scranton because she either forgot about him or found him too annoying to place somewhere else, which could very well be the truth.
